Gold Frame, Velvet Drum: A Watch That Turns金架配绒筒，腕表转着看
This watch stand carries the factory code S11: a gold metal frame holding a velvet drum, with the watch hung on the drum and turned a full 360 degrees. Plenty of buyers first think it is a decorative object. It actually solves the most practical problem — the dial keeps facing away from the customer, who has to walk around to see it.
The frame is gold but matte, not bright. Bright gold reflects under spotlights and dazzles; matte gold stays calm and pairs with all three drum colours — black, red, blue. The frame and drum connect through a bearing: the turn must be smooth yet not loose. Too loose and the watch slowly spins and will not stop. We tune the resistance so a light finger push turns it half a circle and it halts when you let go — that feel is checked one by one at assembly. 
The velvet drum is the key part. Its short-pile surface grips the strap without slipping and leaves no mark on leather. We make several drum diameters: narrow straps take a smaller one, wide straps a larger one, so the strap follows the curve instead of lifting at the edges. The three colours are not random — black is the safest everywhere, red suits festive or hero pieces, blue reads cool and clean against a steel watch.
The frame itself is a light alloy, powder-coated gold, which keeps it from rusting in humid shops — a plain steel frame would spot within a season near the coast. The drum core is foam wrapped in velvet, not solid, so it stays light and the strap settles into it rather than bridging across a hard cylinder. The base is weighted: an empty frame on a glass counter that topples at a touch is useless, so the weight sits in the bottom ring. The weight is a separate disc that clicks into the base, so if a client moves the stand to a heavier marble counter they can swap it for a lighter one. For shipping, the frame and drum come apart and reassemble in store, saving freight and avoiding crush damage. The drum itself is easy to swap, so a store can keep one frame and rotate coloured drums by season without buying a whole new stand.
Against our leather tray S2, the difference is clear: S2 lies flat with the strap in a leather channel, built for a drawer or dresser; S11 stands and turns, built for a counter where people spin it. One solves storage, the other solves show. Do not mix their jobs.
Two things to check when choosing: avoid long-pile velvet — it catches on metal clasps, short pile is stable; and look at the frame welds, burs will scratch hands over time. Those two beat colour every time. 
One more practical note: the drum height is set so the watch sits at eye level on a standard 90-centimetre counter, not floating too high or sinking into the case. We adjust the post length to the client's counter height — a stand that makes the customer stoop or crane loses the whole point of a turning display. In a small boutique the red drum pulls the eye to a hero piece; in a multi-brand chain, black keeps the row calm and lets the watches do the talking.
Simply put, a watch stand earns its keep by being steady and turning well. Get those right and the watch gets looked at a little longer.

绒面滚筒是关键。它表面是一层短绒，表带绕上来不打滑，也不会在皮带上压出印子。滚筒直径我们做了几种，细表带用小直径，宽表带用大直径，目的是让表带贴合弧度，不翘边。黑、红、蓝三色对应的不是随便配的：黑色压全场最稳，红色适合节庆或主推款，蓝色偏冷调、配钢表显干净。
支架本身是轻合金，外面做了金色粉末喷涂，沿海潮湿的店里也不会生锈——普通钢架一个季度就起斑。滚筒芯是泡沫包绒，不是实心的，轻，表带是陷进绒里而不是跨在一根硬圆管上。底座是可以配重的，空架子立在玻璃柜里被碰一下就倒没用，所以重量压在底圈。要运输的话，架子和滚筒能拆开，到店再装，省运费也防压坏。那块配重是独立铁盘卡进底座的，客户要是把架子挪到大理石重台上，可以换轻一点的盘，不用整套重买。
立柱高度也能调。标准柜台90公分高，表心得落在客人平视那一段，太高要仰头、太低要弯腰，转着看就失去意义。我们按客户柜台高度切立柱，小店用标准款、岛柜高的加长一截。三色滚筒可以分开备货，主推款换红筒、日常用黑筒，一套架子配几只筒，换季不换架，省钱也省地方。
跟我们那款皮托盘S2比，S2是平躺式、表带摊在皮革槽里，适合抽屉或梳妆台收纳；S11是立式转筒，适合柜台让人转着看。一个解决“收”，一个解决“秀”，别混着用。
挑的时候注意两点：一是绒面别选长绒，长绒容易勾表带上的金属扣，短绒才稳；二是金色支架看焊点，毛刺多的用久了会刮手。这两点比颜色重要。
说白了，腕表陈列的架子，稳和转这两件事做到位，表自己就会被人看久一点。
