How good a watch display prop looks owes three parts to its shape and seven parts to its craft face. Many shop owners fixate on the silhouette of a watch stand yet ignore the surface treatment—it is exactly processes like lacquer, foil stamping, flocking and laser engraving that decide whether the prop reads as premium or cheap under the spotlights. 
The very same watch stand, swapped from a matte lacquer to a glossy one, can shift its character by several notches.
Lacquer is the most common process and the easiest to get wrong. Good lacquer is even, free of orange-peel texture, with clean edges; poor lacquer reveals grain and runs under counter lighting. For stores built around high-end watches, we suggest a matte or low-sheen lacquer on the stand body—it tames stray reflections and lets the watch itself be the only focus. Glossy lacquer suits trend pieces that want a touch of tech.
Foil stamping is silent brand advertising. Put the brand name or logo in foil on the stand base or backplate, and customers remember that line of gold even in their peripheral vision. One caution: keep foil away from the surface that touches the watch, so it does not wear off from friction; and keep the foil text modest—restraint reads as premium.
Flocking shows up on watch pillows and liners; it softens contact, prevents case scratches, and quietly lifts the feel of the hand. But flocking fears two things: showroom dust that is hard to clean out, and the damp of southern humid seasons that makes it absorb moisture. Choose flock by density and adhesive—dense pile with a firm bond survives daily wiping.
Laser engraving fits serial numbers, limited editions or a brand statement; it is precise, never fades, and is the most cost-effective identity mark in custom props. 
The difference from foil is that laser engraving sinks the characters in, while foil floats gold on the surface—one reserved, one expressive—so pick by the tone you want to send.
No craft is absolutely better; only more or less suited to the scene. When choosing watch display props, put the sample under your own spotlights for a night before you commit—the craft face of a prop only counts under real light.

激光雕刻适合做序列号、限量编号或一句品牌主张，精度高、不掉色，是定制道具里性价比最高的身份标记方式。它和烫金的区别在于，激光雕刻是凹进去的字，烫金是浮在表面的金，一个内敛一个张扬，按你想传递的调性来选。
