Long necklaces are the awkward one in display. Hang a long chain on a plain bust and it twists into a knot the moment someone turns it; customers hate that. Our piece is different — the white ceramic neck bottle SJ18 is not a bust, it is a streamlined bottle, and the chain falls from the mouth and hangs free, almost never tangling. A PU bust can hang a chain too, but the textured surface sometimes catches a fine link; ceramic is the calmer choice on that point.
The bottle is fired ceramic, and the glaze has to be smooth. Glaze is not only for looks; the point is that it does not catch the chain. A grainy or too-matte surface drags on a fine chain and snags it on removal. We use a high-gloss white glaze, the kind of slip you feel inside a porcelain bowl, so the chain slides with no resistance. If the glaze is under-fired the white goes grey, so we hold the kiln temperature and pass count until the white is right.
The mouth is the heart of the hanging structure. SJ18 is not a straight tube; it narrows with a curve, so a pendant drops to the visual centre and will not slide to the side. A long chain wraps about one and a half turns around the body and the drape appears — far more three-dimensional than lying flat on a tray. Short chains and collarbone lengths work too; just move the hang point at the mouth. Too low and the pendant clings to the body with no air; too high and the chain floats and looks empty, so the height follows the hero piece.
The base must be steady. A ceramic bottle has a high centre of gravity; without counterweight it topples at a touch on the counter. We add weight inside the base ring and a non-slip pad, so on a glass case a push will not send it sliding. This matters more at a trade show, where the bottle rocks and the chain roughens with every passer-by. Samples with light bases we weight on the spot, never ship them as they are.
The ceramic downside, stated plainly: it fears knocks. One drop and the chip ruins it, unlike a PU bust you can wipe or patch. So it ships in its own compartment, not stacked with metal stands whose edges take a bite out of it. In store, keep it off the outer edge where a turning customer can hit it. Damage is rarely repairable locally; you replace, and the cost is in the loss, not the material.
When ordering, fix the size first. Wrong neck height or body ratio and a long chain drags on the table. We offer two heights, one for pendants and one for long chains, and brands pick by their hero piece. We log the chosen height against the SKU so reorders match the first one. White goes with everything, gold or silver, and never steals the show — that is why it sells. One honest tip: take one for the counter for a week, watch whether customers knock it and whether the chain stays put, then place the volume.
Cleaning is another reason ceramic sells. The gloss wipes bright with a counter cloth; PU darkens and traps dust with age, and needs constant wiping. 瓶口是悬挂结构的核心。SJ18的口不是直筒，做了收口和弧度，吊坠垂下来正好卡在视觉中心，不会滑到侧面。长链绕瓶身一圈半，垂坠感就出来了，比平铺在托盘上立体得多。短链和锁骨链也行，调一下瓶口的挂点位置就行。挂点太低，吊坠贴着瓶身不透气；太高，链子飘着显空，这个高度得按主推款调。
底座得稳。陶瓷瓶子重心高，底座不加配重，柜台一碰就倒。我们的做法是在底圈里加配重，再上一圈防滑垫，摆在玻璃柜里推一下不会溜。这点在展会更重要，人来人往，瓶子晃一下链子就乱。配重不够的样品我们当场就加，不带到客户那。
陶瓷的短板也明说：怕磕。摔一下缺口就废了，不像PU皮人台能擦能补。所以运输要用独立格位，别和金属架堆一起，金属棱一碰就是一个豁。门店里也别摆在最外沿，客人试戴转身容易碰。坏了基本没法局部修，只能换，成本在损耗不在材料。
订这类瓶子，尺寸先定好。颈模高度和瓶身比例不对，长链挂上去会拖到桌面。我们一般按吊坠款和长链款给两个高度，品牌方按自家主推款选。白色好搭，配金饰银饰都不抢戏，这也是它卖得动的原因。真要省心，一句建议：先拿一只摆柜台试一周，看客人会不会碰、链子挂得住挂不住，再下量。
陶瓷好打理也是卖点。釉面光，柜台布一擦就亮，PU皮用久了会吸灰发乌，得经常擦。白色更显干净，但别用含蜡的布，蜡积一层反而雾。我们建议门店备一块干绒布，每天收档顺手擦一遍就行，不用清洁剂。
